Despite unquestionably garnering more attention and circumvention from opposing pitching, Bryli Seifert put up another statistically outstanding season and garnered a third straight selection to the Class 4 Missouri Fastpitch Coaches Association all-state team.
Platte County’s star junior shortstop, who committed to LSU this past fall, led the Pirates in almost every statistical offensive category while also committing just five errors on over 100 defensive chances. She hit .493 with a .600 on-base percentage and slugging .947 for an OPS of 1.547 with team-highs of 10 doubles, three triples, six home runs, 31 RBIs and 38 runs.
Seifert walked 12 times while striking out just four times. She set career-highs in home runs, runs and stolen bases (13) .
MOHSFCA only named one list of honorees this seasons, but Seifert made the first team as a freshman and second team as a sophomore. She goes into her senior season with 16 career home runs.
Platte County posted a third straight season with at least 19 wins, finishing 19-11. The Pirates reached a district title game for the seventh straight time. However, the last four seasons have all ended with a loss to Kearney.
Those defeats have all come in the Class 4 District 8 championship game after back-to-back trips to the state semifinals and third-place finishes in Class 4.
Platte County graduates senior first baseman/pitcher Danica Salisbury, catcher Gwen Duncan, second baseman Marlee Snyder-Richardson and Evie Thrasher. All four started most or all of multiple seasons with Salisbury having a pivotal role in 71 total victories from 2022 to 2025.
